What's New previous versions. 

Oct 04 2008:  Ver 10.0.8.04 Released. Significant Update. Includes expanded Create New Database facility. More forgiving in Team Scores where team name numbers are not consistent. Overcomes issue in recently expanded Import csv with Multi HCs facility.


Sep 27 2008:  Ver 10.0.8.01 Released. Annual Major Update. Includes much expanded Help file which is also Vista friendly. Includes major enhancements to StopWach and many minor improvements/additions. Also additional interaction facilites with TES (Topyacht Entry System) the Internet based series/races entry and admin system).


Mar 04 2008:  Ver 10.0.7.19 Released. Significant release for OTB and Trailable Clubs. Displays the YS Corrected Time or TCF Cort'd time column. [Corrects issue caused by special features added for International Events in Jan 2008]

Feb 09 2008:  Ver 10.0.7.17 Released. Minor release. Solves recently introduced issue with creating new database. Includes enhancements for unusual, International Event scoring requirements. Remember: Separate Help file update now available; see Reference (Using TopYacht) pages.

Dec 17 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.13 Released. Minor release. Entrant import via csv now uses "Crew_1" and "Crew_2" rather than the previous "Crew" and Crew1".  Separate Help file update now available; see Reference (Using TopYacht) pages.

Dec 4 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.12 Released. Minor release. A number of additions to the Help file. Casual/Visitor status of existing Series Entrants is now unchanged if the same entrant is re imported for a new race.

Nov 17 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.11 Released. Minor release. Now allows import of multi HCs in entrants list irrespective of HC listing order.

Nov 13 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.10 Released. Significant release. Overcome issues a few clubs were having with race entrants disappearing after processing; permits updating of HCs after initial processing of race and then the decision to not include race in HC update;  printing of Series Entrants now included; enhanced Race Analysis Graphs; updated Site Manager templates now include the Sponsor/Provisional Results label on Internet uploads (need to select latest templates in Internet >> Series >> Settings).

Nov 03 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.9 Released. Further expansion of entry list importation facilities from TopYacht Internet. Improved functionality  of Regatta/Event Mode selection. Expanded warnings for user errors/omissions in pursuit race setups. Significant expansion of Round Robin /Prelim~Final~Medal Race facilities for world events such as 470 Worlds. Expanded Arbitration score options.

Oct 16 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.8 Released. Minor update. Now correctly stores name of host PC for clubs swapping data across PCs via backups. Site Manager now displays correct race date when uploading Race Entrants. Utilises the next release of the database engine.

Sep 12 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.5 Released. Fixes issue with exiting Race Set Up screen with Pursuit Races. Provides updated V9 DB importer for TY10.0.7.xx .

Aug 30 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.3 Released. Minor update. Removes annoying and unintended message when editing in Master List.

Aug 22 2007:  Ver 10.0.7.2 Released. (See also  in "TopYacht enhancements for season 2007-2008.doc" in Ref section)

THE MAJOR change

You can now alter a competitor's basic details for just one series eg..

·          You can alter a boat's class from D1 to D2 for a particular series.

·          You can alter the skipper name, just for a particular series.

This is a major shift in how you use TopYacht!

  • Previous versions needed a new competitor for a common boat with different skippers or for different division numbers.
  • Now you store each boat once in the master list, with a default skipper and class.
  • Use this to enter a new series then adjust the class or skipper for just that series.

Introduction of TopYacht Internet (New Product)

  • TY Internet allows sailors to enter a Series/ Race on the Internet and pay for the entry (if appropriate).
  • The club Hcer can update HCs for the race/series via the Internet.
  • The race scorer can import the data directly into TY.
  • The club admin person can administer the event via the Internet.

Other changes and enhancements

  • A number of screens have been somewhat rearranged to provide a more consistent 'feel'.
  • A growing number of "eXtra" facilites are 'hidden' on the Configuration page.  Admin >> Maintain >> Config  then Ctrl X shows the eXtra features.
  • These include. Block Entry; Permanent Admin Mode
  • TY now remembers the displayed fields even when moving a backup to a PC with a different screen resolution.
  • Series Note/Sponsor and Race notes now show on Entrant List in print our and on Internet upload.
  • Start time now displayed on Entrants List.
  • View Entrants in Race or Series allows Hide/Display columns.
  • Unselect ALL Active Races with one button.
  • Manual Pursuit Race Offset times in minutes now supported.
  • Addition of a number of new HCing methods. (See paper on ref section of site.)
  • Simplified competitor removal from series/group.
  • Race offsets times in Entrant List for pursuit races.
  • Race date and/or race note on Internet Races in Series list.
  • Preset allowance for up to 5 discard/drop levels.
  • High precision BCH facility introduced.
  • 'Arbitration' Penalty Place for regattas.
  • More hints on various screens.
  • Many smaller tidy ups.
  • Multi Division pursuit races.
